Trading Rules
-
I am serious about starting my business, but I also want to have fun. So rule number one is "Have Fun!"
-
I am not selling any the magazines for cash. They must be traded for something "Bigger and Better".
- Each magazine must be traded for an item. I can not do 2-for-1, or 3-for-1, etc., trades, unless you are wanting to trade something so incredible, that I can't turn it down. My goal is to trade each magazine "up" for something else of value and to continue trading those items for other items for greater value. It is my hope to get 30+ magazines traded up multiple times to a specific "value" and sell those final items for cash, and then I will be able to start my business. The chances of doing that are good with 380 issues to trade, but if I start doing 2-1, or 3-1 trades, I start diminishing my chances of reaching my goal as not every item I trade for will reach that level. It's like a pyramid...I have a lot of magazines at the base, but as I trade up in value, only certain items will trade up.
- The internet can reach just about anyone, anywhere these days...That presents a huge dilemma for me because I am not in position to go gallivanting around the world for these trades. I have to be realistic. So initially, I am going to limit my trading distance to about 200 miles from Loveland, CO (zip code 80537). Maybe as objects get bigger and better I'll consider traveling a bit farther.
- I will consider sending traded items through the mail, but you would have to be willing to split the mailing costs.
-
If you want to trade anything mechanical or electrical, please make sure it works.
-
No trade is guaranteed until it is actually made. I will consider all trade offers and choose which items I feel would be best to trade for.
-
All trades are final.
-
I will not trade anything living (i.e. ex-spouses, animals, unruly children, in-laws, etc.) as much as I sympathize with you, it must be an inanimate object of value.
-
I will only sell a traded item for cash only if I feel it can't be traded up any more. Items will most likely end up on Craigslist and EBay.
- The goal is “Bigger and Better” please keep this in mind when offering to swap something.
